Weekly Newsletter

Hi! Parents,

We are off to another great week! Your children put on their best smiles yesterday for picture day. We will have a make-up picture day for those who weren't able to get their picture on Monday, November 2.

Thank you for working with your children on their homework. They are doing a wonderful job completing their work!

Please read carefully below for information about our class.

1. Tuesday folders are full of information. Please empty, sign anything applicable, and return asap.

2. Homework folders today have (1) Math practice (2) U.S. Map (3) Yellow spelling list
(4) September Reading Log (this was given 2 weeks ago)

Spelling-A yellow half sheet with your child's spelling words will be coming home. Each student will start having their own spelling list for them personally. This yellow list is for the student to study at home.  Spelling test will be on Mondays.

Spelling resource here: http://childparenting.about.com/od/schoollearning/a/ways-to-practice-spelling-at-home.htm.

Math-There will be one math practice sheet this week. Students are doing a fantastic job at completing their math practice at home! Keep it up.

Social Studies-Students will receive a U.S. Map to color in the state they were born in. We are continuing to study "History & Past" and this is fun way for them to share a small bit of their personal history. It also reinforces our study of U.S. geography which we will be learning throughout the year.
