Weekly Newsletter

Dear Parents,

We are starting to get settled into our routines and I am so impressed with how well your children are doing!

This week we will complete our Galileo and iReady (Reading) assessments. It is exciting to see the data coming in and to start to plan how we can better implement our curriculum and teach your children!

Homework will be sent home in your child’s blue “Homework” folder on Tuesdays. Homework is to be returned by the following Monday. We encourage students to pace themselves with their homework by working on it a little each night. The homework packet is not meant to be done all at one time.

We are slowly implementing homework over the next few weeks. This week we will send home the the monthly Reading Log. Please continue to work on reading at home together. It will be a big part of your child’s growth in reading this year.

We will also send home a small amount of math homework. Math homework will usually be a review for students and should be easily done at home. This week it will be some simple addition practice and story problems.
